A very relaxing weekend in McCall

We had such a fun weekend in McCall - we left at noon on Friday and had a fun dinner out in McCall. We spent lots of time lounging around and hanging out. On Saturday, dad went snowboarding so mom and Sam had some snow adventures outside ax well as coloring and puzzles inside. In the afternoon we went to Zims hot springs and then dad cooked us a great dinner. Sunday morning we made Sam's day by getting pancakes at the McCall pancake house and then checked out some of the ice sculptures. It was so nice to get away and have a relaxing and fun family weekend!

Sam's First "Frosty the Snowman"

FROSTY THE SNOWMAN

Sam Loves Frosty the Snowman - he loves the song and sings it often in the car, at home, and as he is going to sleep in his crib.  Dad took the opportunity last week to build Sam's first snowman with him as we had snow on the ground  - Sam's very own Frosty the Snowman!

Daddy seems to know what he's doing - good thing the Christmas lights are still up!

Starting to look like a snowman - Bradley finds accessories in our Halloween bins and milk caps (which we have LOTS of these days) for eyes - Mom pulls through with a carrot nose as she was cooking chicken noodle soup that night!

 Love at first sight!!!

But.... the 40 degree temps were on their way the next day - we knew Frosty's days were going to be short!

The next day after work, mom and Sam went to check on Frosty - as Sam was trying to put the nose and eyes and hat on, Frosty's head FELL OFF!  I couldn't help but laugh as Sam was saying, "No, Frosty...poor Frosty..." he was so concerned and sad.  I managed to put Frosty's face and hat back on, but Frosty's head was about half it's former size.

Almost back to the old Frosty!  (Needless to say, a couple days later, Frosty only has his bottom section and it's getting smaller!
