Fun with Frankie and Fisher!

Weekend fun!

 

We had such a fun weekend and the beautiful weather let us enjoy lots of fun outside.   

On Saturday Morning, we went to a nearby park and had a fun time playing and swinging.



We also spent lots of time outside playing with water and, of course, dirt.

 

We ended the weekend riding bikes in the back alley and a family dance party in the garage - lots of fun times with the kiddos!

Ava's 15 month check-up

 

Last week Friday, Ava had her 15 month check up.

WEIGHT: 23lb 9oz (62nd %tile)

HEIGHT:  31" (68th %tile)

She did really well and only cried a little from the shots - mom let her have a little cake once we got home for being such a brave girl.

At 15 months, Ava is a fantastic walker and loves to climb stairs.  She is getting pretty good at coming downstairs too - she is very brave so we have to keep an eye on her.  She loves riding the YBike and tries to keep up with Sam - that's also true on the playground.  

Ava says "momma" and "daddy" - she will say a few other words like "nana" for Banana and other small words.  She is also learning her animal noises and her favorite book right now is her new one with all the pictures of the animals.  She loves to play with Sam - they push grocery carts all over the house and she loves to play peek-a-boo around the kitchen corner.  She also loves playing on Cuddles.

I can't believe our Peanut is already 15 months old - time flies when you are having fun!

Highlights from Minnesota

  

Sam and Ava had so much fun hanging out with Mema and Papa in Minnesota.

**Trip to Wild Rumpus Book Store**

 

This was definitely a highlight for Sam and Ava - they saw chickens, chinchillas, cats, fish, ferrets, rats, spiders and lizards at the Wild rumpus bookstore - Ava even got pecked by the chicken!  

They were so excited to pick out some new books from Mema - Sam got some seek and find books and one about trains (which he requested).  Ava got a new book with animals that she loves!

Family Party on Sunday Night - Sam and Ava had fun hanging out with cousin Bryn.

Tackling Mema - aka "The Queen of Fun" was the highlight for Sam and it didn't take Ava long to jump in!

Minnesota Zoo

Papa and Mema treated us to a fun trip to the Zoo on our last day in Minnesota - Sam and Ava were both so excited and loved seeing the animals and exploring the zoo!  Sam was so brave and even touched a snake - I couldn't believe it!

Although we had to arrive at the airport at 4am, the kids did great - a little squirmy- but pretty good overall (chocolate cookie bribery helped!). Sam was so excited to fly on a plane we could hardly get him to bed the night before! We are excited for a fun weekend in Minnesota!
