Camping in Idaho City
We had an awesome tent up in the Mountains past Idaho City - the kids had so much fun running around inside and on the deck.
The view from the back side of the tent - it was pretty steep mountain behind us.
The tent had two futons and two large loungers that could turn into beds as well. One of the big comfy lounger chairs looked right out the front and was where mom and dad liked to hang out!
Of course, Sam and Ava spent time there as well with their loveys.
Although it took awhile to get the kids to go to sleep the first night (actually, a long time), they slept well and we woke up and made a big breakfast of bacon and eggs. Sam and Ava made sure dad stayed on task!
We went exploring, hoping to try to pan for gold and hang out by the river across the road. Unfortunately, it was difficult to get down to the river because of all the brush and with the two kids, maybe not worth it. The campground was very steep and lots of dirt - the only negative, not lots of open space for little kids to play, although the dirt seemed to keep them entertained somewhat!
play.
It was very hot so in the afternoon, we decided to check out the new Hot springs in town - the pool was 85 degrees so felt perfect - the kids (and mom and dad) loved it. It was a super nice place - food and drinks served poolside, live music, showers, etc...
After the hot springs, we went into town to Sasparillas for some ice cream, which on the way home, Sam told us was his favorite part of the trip.
The last night, daddy found the lantern/radio in the tent and it just became dance time / crazy time / wrestlemania.... until someone got hurt! (not bad!)
We had lots of fun!
