Port-a-potty
AvA cracks me up - she keeps disassembling our stool/training potty (being used as stool in bathroom) and putting the toilet seat part in her grocery cart and walking around the house. So..... We've been calling it her Port- a-potty!!!!

Just like mom!
Ava found moms workout socks and tried to get ready for a workout just like mom! Shoes and socks - Some of Ava's fascinations. I was impressed she got them on so well!

3 letter word!
Three letter word to sum up the start to our weekend: F-L-U I picked Sam up at daycare at 3 and a rough afternoon and evening for him. I never thought i would have the urge to hug and snuggle someone throwing up but that was before I was a mom.... And yes, I'm probably next!!!!

18 month check up for Ava
Ava's 18 Month Check up
Weight: 25 lb 10oz (68th %tile)
Height: 32.5" (73rd %tile)
Wow... in the last couple months, Ava's personality has emerged in full force and we have quite the little (cute) monster on our hands! She is starting to talk a lot more and the doctor was impressed with how many words she knows. She also knows all her animal noises and even shocked grandma this weekend by counting to 10! She is starting to say her abc's and LOVES to sing with Sam!
Ava can be a little pest - tearing everything in the house apart (and at school we've heard), loves to push her brothers buttons - the grab and run, and the minute you ask Ava to come so you can change her or put her to bed, she laughs and runs the other direction. She is keeping us all (Sam included) on our toes. We are always impressed with how brave she is and have to watch her as she doesn't seem scared of much.
Ava's loves right now - she loves her dog Ralphie. She loves her paci and it's actually gotten worse lately. She is a little sugar hound but she gets that from both mom and dad :) She loves books and watching "Bo on the Go" with her brother. She really loves her brother too - they are quite the little buddies and do so much together from picnics on Sam's bed to pushing their grocery carts all over the house and playing outside together - they are best friends. She was Sam's biggest cheerleader while potty training (i think she knew the reward candy was close by!) and NEVER missed a potty time of Sam's - the one time we tried to close the door, her fingers were coming under the door! She doesn't miss much!
Ava definitely is not our little baby anymore and is crossing over to toddlerhood with a lot of fanfare!
