Boo at the Zoo
The kids were so excited for Boo at the Zoo! Sam and Ava were excited that their cousins Ezra and Evelyn came with us.
Mom was planning to wear jeans, boots and a puffer vest.... but dad and Sam insisted mom dress up as well. Upon arrival, the percentage of parents who dressed up was probably less than 1% - but Sam told mom that she was the coolest pirate so i will say it was worth it!!!!!

Sam wasn't too thrilled with this - he tolerated it! It is such a small carousel - tight circles - mom and dad were dizzy after the ride!!!
Watching the Penguins eat was a hit! Love all the tails lined up!
Daddy's purchase of cotton candy (at 10:15 am?!) was a hit with the kids - the second he put it down to take a picture - the little skunk was in it in a flash!!!!!

All in all, it was fun, but 2 hours was plenty with 4 little ones and all the crowds!

Art night!
I only had the energy to manage Sam painting so after Ava went to bed, we had so much fun! Sam was so proud of his artwork.

Fun night at the Owens
The kids had so much fun painting pumpkins at the Owen's house. Fishar and Ava also enjoyed tasting the paint covered add ons and Sam and Frankie took the painting very seriously and created masterpieces. 
We had fun playing outside - we ate dinner outside and between the two labrador dogs and 8 or so bold and brazen chickens, it required some tenacity to keep your food to yourself. Sam eventually got cornered on a chair and had a strawberry stolen from him by a chicken - he was NOT IMPRESSED!! Ava had one stolen too! Mom even had a chicken try to steal her pizza!
The kids loved playing in the sandbox and Sam usually spends 80% of his time here when we are at the Owen's house.
Fishar spent a lot of time wrangling chickens (chasing them with a plastic shovel)! Ava joined in on the fun and helped Fishar chase the chickens to the coop!

Cute kiddos!
Smarty pants Ava found her own way to carry a paci, bottle and snack. I was impressed with her thinking on this one!
And, Sam has a new love - Play- doh!! He was making pizzas and birds nests and snowmen.
