Mema and Papa Come to Visit

 

 We loved having Mema and Papa here for a week in Boise - they brought Max along with them and the kids loved having him here.  The kids were spoiled with lots of fun adventures - going to the movies, the zoo, Chik-fil-A, lots of trips to the park, and lots of play time.  (Mom and dad were spoiled with free babysitting and nights out with no cooking!)

 We also had a great time seeing all the Hot air balloons at the Spirit of Boise.  We also spent a morning at the Saturday market.

 We also spent a couple days in McCall at a little cabin - we had fun playing at the lake, playing at the park, breakfast at the pancake house, riding bikes, and just hanging out.

We had such a great week that ended in celebrating Sam's birthday.

Sam Turns 4!!!

Samuel turns FOUR!!

Sam got to celebrate his birthday for a whole week - Mema and Papa were here to visit and he got his first present early!  He is still a little unsure of it as he is used to zooming on his strider!

Sam had a Construction birthday party in the park with friends and family.  Sam is CRAZY about construction so he was very excited.  He loved helping mom with his special cake and handing out party gifts for his friends!

 

The kids played at the park and dad grilled hot dogs for everyone.

 .... and, what everyone was waiting for... cake!!!!

Time for presents - Ava was the helper bringing the gifts to Sam to open.  Sam got lots of cool presents - airplanes, construction, batman and others!

 All in all, a great birthday party!!!!

 

On Sam's REAL Birthday, he wanted to make pizza so we went to Flatbread Pizzeria where he was able to make his own masterpiece.

And then home for a few more presents!

 We can't believe we have a FOUR year old on our hands.  It has been a big year for Sam starting PreK and he is learning so much and LOVES school.  He is sharing lots of stuff he learns at home from letters, numbers, and fun versions of Bible stories and songs he has learned.  He is growing up so fast but he is still our sweet (usually) and tenderhearted little boy!
