Gavin Loves bathtime and is quite our little fish!  He is so brave in the water and will even try to put his head under the running water!  He gets a lot of baths at night - Mom and Gavin's time together!

Gavin continues to move and is a very determined boy.  He rushes for the door when it's opened and also is always trying to play with the door stopper/spring in the bathroom.

Mom and Sam teamed up to carve his GREEN pumpkin ferociously eating a smaller pumpkin.

Pumpkin patch - Kindergarten field trip

 

Mom was a chaperone/volunteer for Sam's first Field trip to the Pumpkin Patch.  We had a lot of fun finding a perfect pumpkin, petting animals, corn maze, and a big slide.

Superhero Saturday!

 

Ava

 

Often in the morning, we see slugs outside and try our best to save them from Ava.  Yesterday afternoon she had dug a bunch out from under rocks and informed me they were having a party.  I pity any slug within our property limits.....

Gavin has mastered the army crawl and moves all over the living room now.

 

8 months

Gavin hit the 8 month mark on October 3.  I weighed him on our scale sitting up and he was 19 lbs.

He is changing and growing up so fast!  He now sits up without falling over and can play with lots of toys.  He is very determined to move and rolls all over the living room floor.  We have also just started to see him get to his knees on rare occasions and rock - we are getting close to having to get the baby gates up! 

Gavin is our "flying squirrel" - in his johnny jumper, he doesn't jump as much as swing back and forth in the double door frame.  He even picks his feet up as he swings - it is definitely his favorite thing to do.

Gavin also loves loves LOVES bath time!  He is quite the splasher and as soon as he hears the water going he gets excited. 

One of his favorite games is he gets all serious and will make a noise at you - we repeat back and he laughs and continues.  He is starting to make sounds and he definitely has the "duh" sound down (verses the "m" to say "Mama"!) ... so I think he'll say DaDa first but purely by accident :)

Gavin is a good eater and loves finger foods.

Gavin is an awesome sleeper and rarely wakes during the night.  He sleeps often with his bum in the air and it's adorable.

It's so fun to see Gavin growing and changing but sad as it's our last "baby" moments as he is our last one!  He is one very loved little boy!

We had a great time at the Harvest Festival but ended on a dramatic note as Ava got stung by a bee as we were eating a snow cone.  Let's just say I was happy she didn't have a bad reaction (as dad is highly allergic), but there was crying for quite awhile and screams of pain - of course, we had to traipse across the whole gardens to pick up our painted pumpkins before leaving.... we were glad to get home!
