Fun Weekend and Sam's first Haircut!

 THE ZOO!

We had a fun outing to the Boise zoo on Saturday morning - Sam LOVES animals so he was so excited to run around and see all the different animals.  He loved the monkeys, of course, and the big loud birds next to them.  He was not to be contained in a stroller so mom and dad took turns chasing him!

 We also enjoyed watching the big lions - you can see a big one on the rock in the background.  We were able to get closer to the other one along a side viewing area and Sam was impressed.

I think the cutest thing with Sam was the llamas you could feed.  I paid the quarter to get some food pellets and Sam was so cute feeding them - he was a bit of a tease as he would hold it out but not get quite close enough!  He did get some nibbles off his hand eventually, though!

And then... the big MILESTONE of the weekend! 

 SAM'S FIRST HAIRCUT - much overdue, I might add!

We took him to SportClips - very unsure how he would react.  Well, he didn't want to sit on the booster seat by himself but he was okay sitting on dad's lap.  He sat still the whole time and watched TV - didn't mind the haircut at all!

And the AFTER photos!  What a handsome little man.  Sam's favorite part was the sucker from SportsClip - I think he won't mind future haircuts for that one reason. 

Mom was the most hesitant to cut his hair because she loved the curls but it still has the Sam wildness on top and  he looks so cute - a little older :(, but so cute!
