Ava Turns 4

Ava has been excited for her birthday..... well, year round... my kids love birthdays!
Cake and presents - what's not to love!

On Friday before her birthday, mom and dad brought cupcakes to her school.

Ava woke up to balloons in the dining room and her choice for breakfast - Cinnamon Toast Crunch.  Sugar cereal is a treat.

We told Ava she could choose somewhere to eat for her birthday - breakfast, lunch, or dinner - anything she wanted to eat.... and she wanted Bean dip (she discovered bean dip at El Gallo Giro in Kuna and loved it!).  Well, we weren't going to drive to Kuna, but we found a Mexican restaurant and called ahead to ensure they served bean dip with their chips.  She said it was a little spicy (so we owe her the real thing), but she did get a sombrero and free dessert!

After lunch, we took Ava to Toys R Us to pick out a present - after MUCH deliberation, she chose a cheerleader costume.  She also got an awesome princess bike from Mema and Papa, other new clothes, a Leappad game, an apron so she can cook with mom, and some frozen Playdough.

We spent the week prior dreaming of cakes and looking at Pinterest.... and Ava decided she wanted a Jake and the Neverland Pirates Cake.  Well, we made our plans and got our supplies earlier in the week to make it on Sunday.

 Gavin photobombing!!!

Ava is our feisty and super lovable peanut who adds spice to our lives every day.  She is our early riser in the morning who always knows exactly what she wants.  She is also (and always has been) a cuddler and snuggler.  She LOVES playing with both of her brothers - keeping up with her older and making her younger one laugh.  She has changed and grown up so much in the last year and is getting tall - almost as tall as her brother.  She loves her brothers hand-me-down pajamas and has even starting wearing them more than princess dresses.

Ava will start PreK this year and we can't believe how fast the time is flying.  She is loving being in dance class and has enjoyed ski lessons.  She can write her name now and has become our puzzle guru at home.  Ava also makes us laugh... a lot....  she has a goofy personality that we love.  You do not want to mess with Ava - she can stand her ground and give you a run for your money (ask the boy she bit at daycare)!

Ava is always concerned that we now have more boys in our family than girls (3 vs 2) so she informed me when she grows up she is going to have 5 girls so that we outnumber the boys... boy, would that be entertaining to watch!!!

We love our little girl to pieces and had a fun time celebrating her special day!
