The kids were SO excited to go to the park today - we have spent several months couped up inside and are excited for spring/summer so we can spend more time outdoors.
After the park, Sam and Ava had a rousing game of soccer in the backyard - it was pretty cute. It's so noticeable outside this year that now that Ava is older, they are able to play together even better as she can really keep up.
Sam is such a smarty pants - cute story from this morning. Sam is always worried about Ava and keeping tabs on what she is doing and if she should be doing it or not doing it. He's always taking her paci from her and telling her she doesn't need it or telling on her if she is not eating her food. I always tell Sam, "Sam, you are not the boss of Ava - mind your own business and worry about yourself."
Fast forward to this morning, we are getting ready for church and we left them alone on the loft for a few minutes - I walk out and Ava has emptied all my sewing thread - probably 50 spools and thread is unraveled and tangled everywhere. I took the ipad away from both of them as Ava knows she is not to get in my stuff. Sam was mad and told me that Ava did it - not him - I told him that he should have told her she was naughty and tried to stop her. Sam looked at me and said, "Mom, but I'm not the boss of her." I paused and was like, well you got me.......
Tonight I was cutting apples for dinner - Sam likes to help by doing the corer. Nine times out of ten i cut myself on our apple peeler - I did again and had to get a bandaid. As I started peeling the apple again, Sam said, "Mom, now slow down and pay attention." Yes, Sir. Cute Boy!
